Jesus Makeover

Am alive in Christ; it’s no longer I who live but Christ lives in me. Jesus has changed my life for good.

I was blind, dead, and didn’t have control over my actions (as sin had dominion over my life). I obeyed everything my flesh asked me to do. The result of my actions, I knew, was death and eternity in the lake of fire yet nobody seems to have power to save me. How wretched and confused I was until I met Jesus, who changed my life and made me who I am today.

MAKEOVER

Jesus offered me beauty for ashes. He gave His life for me and gave me victory over sin and death. He showed me genuine Love and introduced me to His amazing Grace. Thank God I am a new man. My old life has passed away and I am alive in Christ.

I reign because He reigns, I live because He lives, I love because He loves, and I will never be the same again. In His name I heal the sick, send good news to the poor and the broken-heart, and set those who are held captives by Satan free. Hallelujah!

DAY 2 – WHY DID JESUS COME TO DIE?

His KingdomAnd you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:5, 8 NLT)
  • Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come. ” (Luke 4:18, 19 NLT)

Jesus brought Good news to the poor, healing to the sick, hope to the hopeless, faith to the faithless. He delivered those who were possessed by demons. He raised the death. And He gave us Power over all the powers of the enemy. Jesus came to die on the cross to set us free from the bondage of the devil.

Satan has no power over you again because God has bought you at a Price. You are saved, healed, empowered, equipped, and have been elevated in Jesus’ Name.

DAY 1 – WHY DID JESUS COME TO DIE?

His KingdomListen! The Lord ’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call. It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. (Isaiah 59:1, 2 NLT)

Easter season is here and believers all over the world are remembering the death, resurrection, and the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ. I was watching The Passion of Christ this morning when The Holy Spirit said “It was worse than these. The beating you see, the insults you hear, the spitting, mocking, etc. None of the things you see on this TV can be compared to what actually happened. Jesus truly suffered for you.” I broke into tears…

The question is Why did Jesus have to go through these?…Why did Jesus come to die?

When Adam sinned, the whole world sinned. Sin created a gap between God and mankind. So Satan ceased that opportunity to bring pains and suffering upon mankind. Something needed to be done to bring mankind back to God. The Good news was Gabriel appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him Mary will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21 NLT). Hallelujah!

  • Listen! The Lord ’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call. It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. (Isaiah 59:1, 2 NLT).
  • Mary will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21, NLT)

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, (Romans 3:23-25 NLT)

His Kingdom

Jesus came to save us from our sins and their effects. We couldn’t have paid the price, and no other blood could have saved us but God loved us so much that He gave up His Son, Jesus, in order to draw us to Himself. Jesus came to clear the mess Adam created in Eden. Now God’s ear is opened to listen to us. That was why even before the Cross, Jesus said in  Matthew 7:7-8 (CEV) that  “Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. Everyone who asks will receive. Everyone who searches will find. And the door will be opened for everyone who knocks”

Jesus made this possible by dying on the Cross for you and I. We have been made right with God thus we can come boldly to His throne. Let us therefore say no to sin and live lives that please the Father. We have a new nature now as God, through His Spirit, is living in us.

What sin, behaviour, action, attitude, fellowship, relationship, etc is keeping you distant from God?

Know that He came first as a lamb but in His Second Coming, He is coming to Judge all. Nothing really matters than your soul because at the end of the day, when your body returns to the dust your soul would remain. Satan is after your Soul so cease this opportunity while there is time and make it right with God. Jesus Loves Us
