God’s Provision in Difficult Times

On the way they were asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” (Mark 16:3)

Mary and the other women decided to go and anoint Jesus’ body. On their way, they pondered the difficult question. “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” It appeared to be an impossible quest, but they went anyway. The stone was very large, as described in the Bible. It was the challenge. What they didn’t know, however, was that God had already taken care of that. Jesus Christ, our Messiah, had resurrected. Hallelujah!

God would not place a purpose on your heart if He had no provision. Often, what seems impossible is influenced by the limits we place on ourselves. These limits are based on the information we have about the situation. And it becomes a tool for the enemy to keep us from going forward.

One day, I had to return to the office for an important assignment. Unfortunately for me that day, I had left the facility’s key at the office the day before. The greater part of me felt that I couldn’t access the office. It was a Saturday, and no one would be around to help me in. But I decided to go ahead. When I reached there, it happened that someone had just popped in, and he was wandering around the reception. He told me that he didn’t know what was holding him there. Upon seeing me, he believed that I was the reason.

Friend, God has already made provision for any impossible considerations you have made. Keep moving forward, as Jesus Christ has made all things possible. God bless you!

What If It Works?

Within heroes lies the feeling of fear, worry, anxiety, self-doubt, etc. But what they do is that despite what tends to hold them back, they gather the courage to move ahead. They trust this inner voice that gives them hope that “what if it works?“.

In your deliberations about your plans for this life, pay close attention to your spirit being. He/she whispers amid the clouds of doubt, “What if it works?”

If there is a 1% chance that you will succeed, give it a try? What if it works?

While thinking about this message, I calculated Gideon’s chances of success in the book of Judges. He planned to go to war with 32000 troops but God reduced it to 300, which is 0.94% of his planned number. The irony is that his 32000 was about 4 times lower than the Midianite army. Now, put it in a context where he is going up against an army of about 135000. What was Gideon’s chance of success? Your guess is as good as mine, 0. Was Gideon afraid? Yes. But he trusted in what God had said and he won.

As a child of God, He has given you His Word: “Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.” (Isaiah 41:10, MSG)

In this year, you will feel fear. Anxiety will knock at your door. The News will look bad. And of course, you are going to have a sense of self-doubt. But you’ve got to keep going because God is with you. Every little step will matter. And remember that slow motion is better than no motion. Steven Covey put it this way; Where you are going is more important than how fast you are going. Don’t let the feelings stop you. What if it works?

Repost: DAY 2 – WHY DID JESUS COME TO DIE?

And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.

(1 John 3:5, 8 NLT)

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come. ” (Luke 4:18, 19 NLT)

Jesus brought Good news to the poor, healing to the sick, hope to the hopeless, and faith to the faithless. He delivered those who were possessed by demons. He raised the death. And He gave us Power over all the powers of the enemy. Jesus came to die on the cross to set us free from the bondage of the devil.
