Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.” The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:34-35, NLT)
Have you ever faced a moment so daunting you thought, “This is impossible”? Christmas is the season when the miraculous becomes reality.
The mention and/or introduction of the Holy Spirit is the part of Mary’s story that changed everything. According to natural phenomena at the time, conception could not have happened without a man and a woman coming together. So, she asked, “But how can this happen?”
Maybe 2025 has been the year when you have thought within yourself, “But how can this happen?” Let this message about Jesus’ birth remind you that the Power of God, the Holy Spirit, is ever present. Mary could not have done it alone without the Holy Spirit. In the same way, you cannot do it alone without the Holy Spirit. He is here to HELP. Do not be intimidated by what lies ahead, but trust that with the Holy Spirit in your life, anything is possible. I encourage you to ask boldly, trust deeply, and watch as the impossible unfolds before you.
I pray that as we remember the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit who lives in you will vitalise your mortal body and cause you to move in the right direction, meet the right people, and obtain all the resources you need to achieve what you think is impossible. Step into this season with faith—miracles are waiting for you! Amen
