Source is defined as “a place, person, or thing from which something originates or can be obtained.”. From this definition, there is a source of happiness, joy, health, wealth and riches, protection, promotion, etc. Your entire life depends on a source which determines your perception about people, things, and events happening around you.

There are two types of Sources; Finite or Limited Source and Infinite or Unlimited Source.

Any source outside of God is Finite. That is if any of your sources is a person, then it will only last as long as you are in the good books of that person. Even that, it could only last as long as that person lives. People get frustrated when they lose their job, or someone leaves them because at some point, they saw the job and/or that person as a source. Always remember that any source outside of God is Limited.

Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God.

(Psalm 90:2, NLT)

Before there was ever anything else you see or consider as a source, He was God. He is God and He will continue to be God. You are only passing through His eternity therefore be mindful of the place, the person, or the thing you depend on for your survival.

God can never be defeated so permit him to be your source of everything. Let Him be the source of your strength. Rely on Him for your every need and you will never be disappointed. Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP) says Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].

Don’t make a place, a thing, or a person your source. It’s true that God uses people to bless people but often times we are swayed by outward appearance. We tend to believe that only affluence people can help us and forget that during a period of famine, of all the people God could have used to bless Elijah, He used a widow who had limited resources but her source was God. In the end, God used that limited resources for a miracle that we still talk about today.

Naaman also had an opportunity to encounter his prophetic blessings through a slave girl. Maybe the person you are looking down upon is your lead, and not the one you are looking up to. That’s why you should trust God for His leading.

Be encourage to recognize God as your Source for every thing, both big and small and your entire life will triumph on the path of possibilities.

SAY THIS: My Father in Heaven, I affirm that from eternity to eternity, you are God. You are Omnipotent and I choose to recognize you as my Source. As I am confidently trusting and relying on you with all my heart, I know that I will never be put to shame and you will watch over every word concerning my life and perform them. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
