Trust ALL in His Hand

Schmitt_Look_Up_HiResNever be afraid to TRUST your UNKNOWN future in the hands of the KNOWN God who KNOWS the future.

God, your Father, sees the end from the beginning so He knows what would happen at your next move.

Think about this for a moment: Why do people rely on Tomtom navigation system? Maybe you have one in your car. It is simple. They believe that it can direct them to any location they want to go, especially when they want to skip traffic. With the help of satellite, the system is able to tell the shortest route in any day and helps the driver avoid unnecessary delays in traffic.

In the same way, God knows where you want to in Life. He has already programmed everything; He knows the safest routes and shortcuts to your destination and wouldn’t want you to waste time in “avoidable traffic” in life. Therefore, He wants you to tell him where you want to God (or commit everything you want to do to Him), and trust (like you would do to your navigation system) that He will guide you there on time safely.

Did you know that He knew you before you came to your mother’s womb, and He saw you as you were being formed?

In His book is written everything you would do on earth. No wonder Jesus said that the very hairs on your head are all numbered (Luke 12:7); signifying how God pays close attention to your being. Therefore “Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed. (Proverbs 16:3, AMPC)

FAITH

20131106-150737.jpgBut without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him…” (Hebrews 11:6, AMP)

Faith is the currency we trade with in our walk with God. We don’t see God yet we believe He exists and He rewards us as we earnestly and diligently seek him.

Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) says that “Faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality – faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experience by the physical senses]

Faith is the title deed you have about the things you hope for in this world. Mariam Webster dictionary defines title deed as the deed constituting the evidence of a person’s legal ownership. I went further to search for deed; a legal document that shows who owns a building or piece of land. Normally, deed is a signed and sealed instrument. When you have title deed it means that you own the property and no one can steal it or take it away from you. Having considered the above definitions, we can conclude that Faith is your signed and sealed instrument constituting the evidence of your legal ownership of the things you hope for, and the evidence of things not seen.

Assuming you are in dying need of $1000 and a wealthy friend gives you an instrument (for instance a cheque) which bears $1000 in your name. The cheque becomes the assurance or confirmation of the $1000 you hope for but it’s a crossed cheque so you have to deposit into your account before you can transact with it. This means that you have not seen $1000 cash but the cheque is evidence that you have $1000. Normally, you don’t pause to consider whether your friend has enough money in his account but you just believe because of your perception about his wealth. Therefore you walk home with smile on your face after thanking him for giving you a cheque of $1000 (that can be dishonoured by his banker).

Faith makes you give thanks in advance for what is yet to be experience by the physical senses.

Another point to consider is that Faith without deeds is dead. Having the $1000 cheque bearing your name doesn’t mean you have $1000 cash. You have to take steps to cash the cheque; that is going to the banker with the cheque, as well as exercising little patience while the banker checks security features of the cheque before honouring the cheque. The process you go through involves waiting.

When you have Faith in God, you WAIT for His timing because you believe that in a little while your request would be granted.

Waiting doesn’t mean you won’t have the money but it allows the banker to check the drawer’s balance, his signature, other mandates before transferring $1000 into your account. Sometimes it takes up-to three working days before the process is complete. If you don’t act on your Faith, holding the cheque wouldn’t make you any better because it is $1000 in another form, not cash. You can’t use the cheque to make payments as it’s closed and only you can withdraw which is why it is important that you take steps to get the money transferred into your account. If you wait any longer, the value of the money may fall.

Friend, we walk by faith and not by sight. It is good to have faith but in order to have your requests granted, you have to act on your faith. And as you act on your faith, expect that you may have to wait for a little while. The scripture says that if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently. (Romans 8:25, NLT). Start acting on your Faith today.

Destined to Succeed

imageYou will succeed in whatever you choose to do, and light will shine on the road ahead of you. (Job 22:28 NLT)

It’s easy to give up when we see roadblocks in front of us. We easily settle for good enough and tend to believe that our God given dream, or idea, or vision is impossible. But in Job 22, Eliphaz made a profound statement which is true about every child of God who wants to do extraordinary things on earth. He said  that “You will succeed in whatever you choose to do…“. Notice the scripture didn’t say that “you will succeed in some things you choose to do”. If that was the case then we could conclude that some things are impossible.
Whatever you have chosen to do, as a child of God, will be successful. The reason why I couldn’t agree more is that as a child of God, the foundation of your decisions is on the Word of God. Therefore when you decide to pursue a course, the Word gives life and throws light on your path so that what other people thought was impossible turns out to work perfectly well for you. Where others fail to win, you get there, do the same thing and succeed. When you operate in God’s kingdom, anything is possible.
This year has been a great year for me as I have seen God done great things in my life. He saved me from an accident that could have ended my life when I obeyed a thought to move about 10 meters to the other side of the road. He has supplied my numerous needs in ways beyond my imaginations and everything I chose to do has become successful. Indeed my God is faithful.

I don’t know how your story/life has been this year but I came to inform you that God has programmed you to succeed in whatever you choose to do. Don’t let fear limit the altitude  you can go and begin to plant the seeds (ideas, talent, resources) you have. God gave you those seeds not so that you keep them in books or lockets but he wants you to plant them on good soil. When you act in faith, He will send rain to water the seeds sown.  When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the Lord blessed him. (Genesis 26:12 NLT)
I trust that you are going to take one bold step toward the right direction today and I believe that light will shine on the road ahead of you in Jesus’ Name. Amen
